Better Saif than sorry

He is concerned. About his two kids and Amrita. "All I want to do is clear the rumours regarding me," says Saif Ali Khan, whose split with wife Amrita Singh stirred up Bollywood about a month ago. "It''s true that Amrita and I aren''t staying together. But there''s no bitterness or anguish over it. There have been differences which we decided was best sorted out by parting ways amicably.But wherever I am and whoever I am with, my priority will be my work, my kids and Amrita. I will never let any harm come to them."
Saif would rather not discuss rumours surrounding the new woman in his life. "I would rather not talk too much about any other aspect of my personal life," he says. "Amrita has maintained her silence and I am speaking only to dispel the rumours that I have left Amrita in a financial lurch. That''s not true at all. I would never let Amrita suffer. And there''s nothing more precious in my life than my kids. In fact, I took care of her financial security even before I left for stage shows overseas."
But it''s his two children Saif Ali Khan is concerned about the most. "I think they knew this was going to happen," he says. "Amrita and the children can come and go as they please. I just want to give this whole thing as much dignity as possible."
